You know what I've been doing since I last wrote? Playing. That's right. Last week Rodrigo called me from the road telling me that he was about to turn into our street and asking me if I could "go outside and help him". I love it when he asks me for help because . . . .
a). He's stronger than short 5'1" me and never really needs my help
b). he always asks me to go help him when he really just wants to show me something
c). that something is usually always for me
I didn't know what he could be bringing but I was convinced it was flowers for me. I saw him pull into the garage and there were no flowers. He popped open the trunk, I went to peek and it took me a while to realize what that box was . . . . a Wii. I can't say that I've wanted one, but I know he has been wanting one for a while now. We just could never find any. Anytime he'd go to buy one, there weren't any in stock. Plus, it's not like he wanted one badly enough to go hunting one down. So he set it up and we started playing. We haven't stopped since. The kids love it. They really love the bowling game. Rodrigo and I are becoming obsessed in beating each other in tennis and golf. We've done the trainings for it and are now just focusing on lowering our golf score. It's pretty sad that I'm soooooooo out of shape that my arms have been sore. Really. There was a time when I could say that I was sore from playing tennis all day, but now I'm sore from playing virtual tennis for a while. Pathetic, huh? We made the Mii characters for each of us and played around making some of our parents. We've been laughing at my mom's for days now because she really does look like her. We'll catch her in the backgound of a game and just start laughing. The Wii came with the sports game, of course and he also bought this game. (He had bought this one but we exchanged it thinking it might be too complicated for the kids.) From the other game he got, I like playing one where you have to find different Mii characters.
So now you'll excuse me while I go train in golf. I want to beat that guy when he comes from work tonight.
feeling: like I really should be doing some housework or something

disloyal yvett
Let me start off by saying that I love my iPod. I love, love, love my iPod. It has been one of my favorite gifts from Rodrigo. He chose it pink for me and had my name engraved. Or not engraved, but had my name put on it. The only problem lately has been that my iPod is a mini. Minis were replaced by Nanos a while ago and I never find any accesories anymore for the mini. I can never find any sort of straps or bands so I can wear it out while walking. Still, I didn't want to replace my iPod. Then I saw the commercials for the new shuffles. The ones that are a little clip and I really liked that idea. The only reason I wasn't wanting one was that they were only white. The new colors were released recently and I secretly wanted one. The thing is that I still want my old iPod and only want the shuffle because it clips on. I have to say that they really had me with the "Wear your music" slogan. Anyway, Rodrigo went to some stores on Saturday and came back with this . . .

A pink shuffle for me! I have to admit that I love it too. I feel so disloyal to my existing iPod. I mean, I've had no trouble with it and am only hoping that it doesn't now break down because I'm liking another one.
I fully intend on still using my old one as much as I have before, which is mostly in the car. I don't use my mini to walk, so now they each have a purpose. Plus, the mini has a lot more storage, so I want that one just as much.
Can you believe that little shuffle thing is a music player? It's tiny! In the picture above, it is on top of one of the mini's "socks". I'm once again trying to carefully select all my songs that go in there. I went through all my iTunes and chose a few that I consider shuffle worthy. Share any song that you consider to be favorites. Suggestions are always welcome.
feeling: happy!

Rodrigo loves me
Back in my late teens and early 20's I could somehow justify spending a lot of money on clothes, shoes, and purses. Now, I just end up feeling guilty if I even consider it. I can always think of a million things I'd rather do. You know there's always something that the kids need or that we need for the home. Also, I hate credit cards (debit cards are your friends, people) and the mere idea of charging shoes or a purse and then thinking of how much it will really cost drives me batty.
Anyway, I received a parcel yesterday. Rodrigo bought me a Prada purse. (in my best Al Pacino. . . ) "Say hell-o to my l'il fren".........

I'm thinking of wearing it on a chain around my neck. Flava Flav style. What do you think? Either that or covering it up in clear plastic like my grandma covers her chairs. Aww.... gifts for no reason are the absolute best! I should also frame my new baby's birth certificate.

You can tell I'm a big dork that doesn't own anything Prada because I feel like walking around and sticking my purse in people's faces while saying things like "Bam!", "Do you like apples? How do you like them apples?", or "What do you think of that, beyotch?". You get the gist. Ha! I can just imagine.
FYI: Prada purses and accesories are on tremendous sale at Amazon.
feeling: too proud of my new purse
